Building Hours
With more people on campus, we are revising campus building hours beginning immediately. The regular schedule will be:
Olson Campus Center: Open 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday-Friday
Bockman Hall: Open 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday-Friday
Gullixson Hall: Will be open for library hours and when classes are scheduled
Building hours may be adjusted to accommodate Residential Focus Sessions or other campus events.
We will observe this schedule and make changes as necessary to match the needs of the campus community. All schedule changes will be communicated via Community Announcements.
As a reminder, while buildings are now open to Luther Seminary students, faculty, and staff, they continue to be closed to the general public.
Residential Focus Session Meals – BYOB and Other Important Info
Thank you to everyone who RSVP’d for meals over the next week; we look forward to welcoming everyone to campus!
Please keep a few things in mind during the lunches over the next week:
- BYOB: Bring your own beverage, not beer! 🙂 We will have root beer at the Friday Root Beer and Hymns. However, for the remainder of the week will not have beverages available.
- The meals will be served from the covered area next to the patio behind Olson Campus Center. You can choose if you would like to sit outside or inside.
- Please wear a mask when picking up your meal.
- Lunches will be served at 11:30 a.m. (or immediately following chapel) on Saturday, September 18; Monday, September 20; Wednesday, September 22; Thursday, September 23; and Friday, September 24.
- We have done our best to accommodate all dietary preferences/allergies indicated in the RSVP. If you have a severe allergy, we cannot guarantee that no cross-contamination has occurred; please take necessary precautions.
Luther Seminary’s Student Newspaper Needs Writers
The Concord, Luther Seminary’s student newspaper, is in crisis. We have struggled to find enough active writers to keep our paper going. Plus, we have struggled to reach all of the diverse students of Luther’s campus with our paper. So we’re trying to revive the student newspaper by moving online. We hope to post one article online per week, rather than focus on a physical paper. But to do this, we need a team of writers who can report on the news of the campus and give a student perspective on the religious happenings of the world. If you have any interest whatsoever in keeping the seminary student newspaper going, then we need you to write for us!
Right now, we’re looking for writers who can commit to writing articles at three levels of frequency:
- One article per month
- One article every other month
- One article per semester
If you could commit to writing articles at one of these levels, please send an email to Bergen Eickhoff at bnelson003@luthersem.edu! If you’re not ready to commit to writing, but have some interest or some questions, please send an email to that address as well. Or, if you don’t like emails, you can fill out this form.
Check out past articles of The Concord by going to our website or our Facebook page.
We hope that you will choose to write for The Concord. This is a fantastic opportunity to create change in your seminary, to practice publishing, and getting your voice in the wider world! If you care about the future of student news at Luther Seminary, we need you to step up and write.
VA Benefits
New students eligible for VA benefits or tuition assistance, please email a copy of your Certificate of Eligibility to the Office of the Registrar to initiate the process.
The Office of the Registrar will submit to the Veteran’s Administration certification of a veteran’s enrollment for military benefits purposes. This is typically done at the beginning of each term and can be requested by the student at any other time.
Please email the Office of the Registrar (registrar@luthersem.edu) with questions about the VA reporting process.
