Take an Hour, Save a Life – Virtual QPR Training in September

Posted on August 23, 2021

September is National Suicide Prevention Awareness Month. The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention reminds us that we don’t need to be a mental health professional to make a difference with our own mental health and to help safeguard the mental health of others. By having #RealConvo with each other we can all learn new ways to help each other safe lives. Together we can #KeepGoing, especially in the era of COVID-19, we can learn how to navigate and cope with uncertainty. Learn more at at the AFSP’s National Suicide Prevention Week page.

If you or someone you know is in crisis call 800-273-8255 or Text TALK to 741-741.

Thanks to a generous grant from the Endowment Laboratory funded by a gift from Thrivent Charitable, we are recognizing National Suicide Prevention Awareness Month with opportunities to learn how to Question, Persuade, and Refer to help anyone who might be struggling with mental health challenges like thoughts of suicide. Just like CPR, QPR is an emergency response to someone in crisis and can save lives. Everyone, especially Christian public leaders, needs to be prepared to ask the question.

Take an hour, save a life.

Sign up for QPR Training.
