Join us in the lounge in Bockman Hall on Thursday, November 3 at 3 p.m. for a Mindful Sketching Session. No drawing skills are required. Dr. Thomason will guide the group in an exercise that uses simple sketching techniques to become fully present in the moment. This is an excellent form of contemplation and relaxation.

Bring a sketchbook (any form of paper works) and a writing utensil (pen, pencil, paints, whatever you use to make marks).

Fruit & Grain Bakery, whose pastry and meals are produced right here at Luther Seminary, is offering a Thanksgiving pie menu, with pickup taking place on Wednesday, November 23 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., at Wild Flyer Coffeeshop in south Minneapolis.

Join us in person or online (see community announcements email for link) Thursday from 11 a.m.–12 p.m. central for Lunch Church x Why Jesus. Marie Hayes, Director, International Student & Scholar Affairs, is our speaker. “Why Jesus” is a series of talks designed to help build community here at Luther and to model the practice of Christian testimony. Speakers (faculty, staff, and students) focus on two questions: “Why am I a Christian?” And “What difference does Jesus make in my life?” Lunch is provided.

Three finalists have been invited on campus and will do a public presentation on October 26, 27, and November 1. The candidates have requested that we hold their names in confidence until the day of the interview. All presentations are scheduled for 12:30–1:30 p.m. in OCC 10.
