With more students coming to campus, and general travel in the area, the time to book your room for the next Intensive or RFS is now! Luther students will still receive a deeply discounted rate at the Fairfield Inn Roseville, however 2023 will bring an increase to $84/night. Rooms are available on a first come, first served basis. Visit Inside Luther for more information. As always, students are welcome to coordinate accommodations that work the best for them. You can find a list here of additional hotels in the area. We look forward to having you on campus!

New Maintenance Request System Is Here
The Facilities team is excited to announce that our new maintenance ticketing system, Limble, has officially launched! You will see QR codes around campus that offer you a quick and easy way to submit a maintenance request. Scan the unique building code with your phone’s camera to bring up a new ticket. Share the details of your request and add a photo of the problem for clarity. When the ticket has been completed, a member of the team can submit a response letting you know the issue has been resolved. For questions or feedback, please email maintenance@luthersem.edu. For more info on how to use, visit their website.
Self-Disclosure for Student Council
Make your voice heard! Student Council is hosting a self-disclosure form for students to ensure your representative can hear your comments and concerns. The form will run through the second week of November, so get your information in now! (Your answers will only be shared with your student council rep and Emelie Clements, student council secretary.)
Fire Alarm Drills
Luther Seminary will be conducting fire alarm drills at 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 2. Fire alarms will be activated in Bockman Hall, Gullixson Hall, and Olson Community Center simultaneously. All occupants will be expected to leave the buildings during the drill and to remain outside until the all clear is given.
COVID-19 Dashboard for October 24–28
Reported employee cases: 0
Reported student cases: 0
Students in quarantine or isolation: 0
Reported cases only include students and employees who have been on campus within a period of time during which they may have been contagious. According to the CDC this includes two days prior to the onset of symptoms or a positive test.
If you have recently tested positive for COVID-19, or if you are an unvaccinated individual who has been in close contact with someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19 (close contact is defined as being within 6 feet of that person for 15 minutes or more over a 24-hour period), please report that to the appropriate person. For employees, that person is Michael Morrow (mmorrow001@luthersem.edu). Students should contact Leon Rodrigues (deanofstudents@luthersem.edu).
Contact Tracing Protocol
When an on-campus case of COVID-19 is reported, that person is first asked to stay off-campus and quarantine in accordance with CDC guidelines. In addition, the seminary takes two steps for contact tracing:
1. The Minnesota Department of Health is notified, per guidelines for institutions of higher education
2. The person reporting the case is asked to identify “close contacts”; the close contacts identified are notified of the exposure and asked to follow CDC guidelines for testing and quarantining (quarantine applies only to close contacts who are unvaccinated).
