Applications for Student Rep to the Word & World Board
Student Representative Positions on the Word & World Board for 2022-23
Word & World is the faculty journal for Luther Seminary, and its purpose is to publish articles and information on theology for Christian ministry. Every year we invite two Luther Seminary students (any degree program) to serve as student representatives to the journal’s governing board. The purpose is to gain input from future theological leaders about our publishing program. Duties are basically to attend two to three meetings a year and to act as a sounding board for our plans. More engagement with the journal is possible, but not a condition for application. For information on Word & World see our website.
To apply for one of these two positions, send a letter of application to the editor, Professor Mark Granquist, at mgranquist001@luthersem.edu. Letters should explain why you are applying for this position, what you can bring to the position, and how you think that this experience would benefit you and the journal. Applications are due by Friday, May 6.
Save the Date: Happy Hour Celebrating Our Graduates

Resources and Readings From Your Library for Holy Week
As we look forward to Easter Sunday and the events leading up to it, Luther Seminary Library’s new bibliography for April focuses on readings and resources on the crucifixion and the ‘Theology of the Cross,’ followed by ‘Resurrection theology.’ Additionally, check out our growing list of theologian bibliographies.
Booking a Room
To book a room on campus, head to InsideLuther and navigate to the Campus Services page. Here you will find a link specifically to Reserve a Room, which also brings you onto the newly designed (Thank you, Nick and Jessica!) Operations page.
Within ‘Events’ the Events Form and the EMS Calendar are great things to add to your bookmarks bar. Both will help you book the appropriate rooms and see what else is happening on campus!
Please note: If you need any type of AV equipment or technical help, we ask for two business days. If only the room is needed, most requests can be accommodated in one business day. To avoid any confusion or double booking, the rooms in OCC have been removed from Google. The ones in Bockman will remain unless problems arise.
