Long-time Accordance developer and trainer, David Lang, will teach you how to navigate the Accordance interface and how to use its powerful tools for Greek and Hebrew study. There will also be a time for questions. Here is the Zoom link for the training. The Meeting ID is 899 5064 0250. The passcode will be provided in the community announcements email.

The training will be recorded and available for later viewing.

Liturgy of the Hours with Rachel Kurtz and Nate Houge

Posted on October 13, 2020

Season Two, Episode Four is here!

This week our reader is Luther Seminary Student Hannah Sackett. This week’s liturgists are Nate Houge and Rachel Kurtz, who recorded their offering from Nate’s back porch. You may hear sounds of life in the neighborhood, which reminds us that our prayers are rooted in where we live.

Holy Conversations continue this Thursday

Posted on October 13, 2020

What is a “holy conversation”? We will learn as we go. Thus far we have been orienting ourselves with the commitments of this institution–our mission statement (Luther Seminary educates leaders for Christian communities, called and sent by the Holy Spirit, to witness to salvation through Jesus Christ, and to serve in God’s world)–and our welcome statement.

We know that as we live into this welcome statement, individually and in groups, that we will agree, we will disagree, there will be joy–and there may be pain. But we do this trusting in the God who manifests love and hope for each and every one of us.

This Thursday, October 15, we will be exploring a simple exercise you could try in almost any setting as a way to distinguish between “debate” and “dialogue.” Join us while we work in small breakouts on low risk questions and then come together to reflect on what we’re learning.

As always, we’ll begin in prayer, we’ll remind ourselves of how we strive to be with each other, and then we’ll share. We start at 11 a.m. Central and will be done noon Central (although people are free to keep the conversation flowing beyond that).

The Zoom link will be provided in the community announcements email.
