Tributes to Pastor-Theologian, Tim Keller
As you may know, Timothy J. Keller, apologist and Pastor of Redeemer Presbyterian (Manhattan), died two weeks ago. Keller was known for his theological approach to every day ethics and ministry and social concerns. As a “Pastor-theologian”, in the footsteps of Martin Luther, we have constructed a new “Library Guide for Pastoral Theology” focused on these two respected Pastor-Theologians, Luther and Keller.
Post-Evangelical Meet Up
The next Post-Evangelical Meet Up will be Monday, June 5th at 11:00 a.m. Central Time on Zoom (see link in Community Announcements). We’ll be discussing sacraments and anyone with a background in evangelical/fundamentalist traditions is welcome! Reach out to Lauren if you have any questions (lmildahl001@luthersem.edu)
Your Book Recommendations
This summer, the library student workers would love to hear about any book recommendations you might have. We will put up a display of all book recommendations we receive at the library.
We invite you to (1) take a ‘shelfie’ – a photo of yourself and the cover of the book you recommend; (2) tell us why you love this book- just a sentence or two!; and finally, (3) send your photo to 952-297-9932 or email it to etan001@luthersem.edu. We welcome book recommendations without photos too, if you prefer not to take a shelfie. Any subject or genre is welcome – from theology to murder mystery to poetry!
We would like to set up the display in time for the Summer Residential Focus Session. We hope you can send in your book recommendations by June 12.
