Your Book Recommendations
This summer, the library student workers would love to hear about any book recommendations you might have. We will put up a display of all book recommendations we receive at the library.
We invite you to (i) take a ‘shelfie’ – a photo of yourself and the cover of the book you recommend; (ii) tell us why you love this book- just a sentence or two!; and finally, (iii) send your photo to 952-297-9932 or email it to etan001@luthersem.edu. We welcome book recommendations without photos too, if you prefer not to take a shelfie. Any subject or genre is welcome – from theology to murder mystery to poetry!
We would like to set up the display in time for the Summer Residential Focus Session. We hope you can send in your book recommendations by June 12.

Cameroon and C.A.R. Lutheran Church Anniversaries Celebrated Here
On April 8, 1923, four Norwegian-American missionaries from the Midwest and Brooklyn first set foot in Douala, Cameroon. Luther Seminary had a major role to play in the mission they established. Today, 100 years later, the two Lutheran World Federation churches that resulted, in Central African Republic and Cameroon, number upwards of a half million members. Bishop Eaton of the USA and Bishop Baïguele of Cameroon will be present here on July 8th for the centennial celebration. Online registration for the event is happening at sdsynod.org/synod-events/missioncentennial2023/. For more information and a student discount, call Mark Nygard at 701-516-6737, or email me at mnygard001@luthersem.edu. Welcome.
