Executive Committee Corner: Student Council Needs You to Help Improve Luther

Emelie Clements, our student council secretary, has written an article explaining the results of the campus-wide survey from Luther’s Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging Committee. November 29 and 30, and December 1: Student Conversations With Faculty Candidates
As part of Luther Seminary’s faculty hiring process, students are invited to engage in conversation with candidates. The week after Thanksgiving, students will have an opportunity to meet three candidates for a faculty position in Congregational and Community Care Leadership.

Open House Celebration for Ellen
Please join us for an open house in the newly appointed Bockman 116 Commons area 1-4 p.m. Thursday, November 18. There will be light refreshments, and we will celebrate Ellen’s retirement!
Ministry Matters Session #2 – 7 p.m. Central Thursday, November 18
Ministry Matters Session 2 focuses on spiritual abuse and the LGBTQIA+ community. Tim Schroeder will moderate a panel discussion with Jia Starr Brown, Wanda Floyd, Emmy Kegler, Rebekah Jordan, and Steph Newman. The Zoom link will be included in the community announcements email.
Ministry Matters is a student led six-month series for Christian public leaders to learn about the LGBTQIA+ community, its unique spiritual past, and the amazing opportunities ministry holds for the community. Each session is 90 minutes and will focus on a key topic/issue.
