Tuesday Chapel: Canon Robert Two Bulls

Please join us for chapel at 11 a.m. Central today in the Chapel of Incarnation. Canon Robert Two Bulls will be preaching. If you cannot join us in person, you can attend via livestream.

Following chapel, Robert will join students for fellowship and a conversation guided by the seminary’s artist-in-residence Jess Grams during a light lunch reception in Dining Rooms A and B.

Native American Ministry: Two Opportunities This Week

You’ve already seen the announcement regarding chapel this week (today) with Canon Robert Two Bulls. Two days later (1 p.m. November 18) there will be another opportunity—a free webinar on Heritage and Hope: Listening to Native American Christian Voices, featuring several Indian panelists. Ministry Matters Session #2 – 7 p.m. Central Thursday, November 18

Ministry Matters Session 2 focuses on spiritual abuse and the LGBTQIA+ community. Tim Schroeder will moderate a panel discussion with Jia Starr Brown, Wanda Floyd, Emmy Kegler, Rebekah Jordan, and Steph Newman. The Zoom link will be included in the community announcements email.

Ministry Matters is a student led six-month series for Christian public leaders to learn about the LGBTQIA+ community, its unique spiritual past, and the amazing opportunities ministry holds for the community. Each session is 90 minutes and will focus on a key topic/issue.

Gutter Cleaning This Week

There will be a contractor on campus this week cleaning gutters. Don’t be surprised to see people on ladders and roofs around the campus.

Wednesday Chapel: Official Close of the Chapel of the Cross, Northwestern Farewell

On November 17 at 11 a.m. Central, we will be holding a chapel service with Holy Communion in Northwestern Chapel to officially decommission and close the Chapel of the Cross. The Chapel of the Cross has been an important part of the life of our seminary and the formation of many Christian public leaders.

Pastor Jon V. Anderson, Luther Northwestern Theological Seminary ’85 and director of rural ministry, will be preaching.

Northwestern Hall (1501 Fulham St.) is the building kitty-corner to the Olson Campus Center.
