We are beginning our annual process of closing our fiscal year.

Please submit invoices, reimbursement requests, and payment vouchers for goods or services received on or before June 30, 2021, by Friday, July 30, 2021. All expenses need to have proper coding and approvals. Please email invoices to busoffice@luthersem.edu or drop them off at the Business Office. If you are coming into your office please check for any invoices that may have been delivered to your office and forward them to the Business Office for processing.

If you have not received an invoice from a vendor for goods or services received or delivered by June 30, please contact Tony Herrera (aherrera001@luthersem.edu) by Friday, July 30, 2021.

Credit card statements for the previous month are due the 30th of the following month. June 2021 credit statements and receipts are due July 30.

Checks and Cash

If you have checks or cash that need to be deposited for Fiscal year 2021, please bring to the Business Office, prior to July 30.

As you know, Luther Seminary is in the midst of discerning our strategic direction and your input is vital to the process. The survey we sent out in June was an important first step. Thanks to all who participated. We had a great response and your input really mattered. The design team used what we learned from the survey to craft three future scenarios, and it’s time for your input again.

Members of the Strategic Planning Design Team are guiding groups through a process to engage the three scenarios. The primary way of doing that is by working with existing work groups/teams. We also believe it is important to offer sessions open to the whole community.

Next week there will be two sessions – Monday and Tuesday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday, July 26, will be in-person (GH 104) and Tuesday, July 27, will be online. The Zoom link will be included in the community announcements email.

All staff and faculty are invited to attend, although these open sessions are voluntary and optional. They were included for the sake of those people who could not attend a similar session with their core team or work group, but you are also free to attend more than one session in case you have more to process and contribute. Ken Reynhout and Terri Elton are facilitating the in-person group. Elizabeth Schoenknecht and Heidi Droegemueller are facilitating the online group. If you have any questions, feel free to contact one of them.

These info sessions will be focused on the next steps for endorsement for ELCA candidacy. Any students who are entranced and are close to completing 10 course credits and/or are finishing up CPE or anticipate finishing CPE in the next six months are invited to join Ashley Wheeler, candidacy coordinator, for any of the following info sessions:
