Come and listen to stories from Africa told from an African lens. These stories are about African Christianity and spirituality, where Christianity insects with other religions. You will have opportunities to ask about the stories you have heard, and we will together try to answer your questions. This is organized by the Residential Life Program Coordinator’s office to help us mark Black History Month. African food will be served.

We are seeking seminarians, teachers, youth ministry professionals, and college and grad students interested in a short-term (3-4 week) summer commitment. Serve Boldly is a Lutheran ministry that provides youth grades 6-12 the opportunity to accompany and serve their neighbor in urban communities while deepening their understanding of God’s presence in their lives. Leaders and guides provide a quality service experience for church youth groups. In 2025, Serve Boldly will be in Duluth, Omaha, Madison, Milwaukee, San Diego, Nashville, and Saint Louis. For Spring 2025 RFS 1 and RFS 2, during all community lunches and during Linner on Sunday, the OCC main dining area will be a space for eating and socializing and OCC 148 (auxiliary dining room) will be a space for those who prefer to eat quietly without socializing. If you need quiet space apart from an eating space, you are always welcome to spend time in the Meditation Chapel (2nd floor of OCC above the chapel).

The seminary choir will be singing in chapel on Wednesday, and we would love to have our DL friends join us! No rehearsal required—just arrive in chapel a few minutes early (10:40 a.m.) and meet in the choir pews (by the organ) to do a quick run through of the ELW arrangement of Beautiful Savior we will be singing.
