Explore the history of writing, publishing, and libraries at Luther Seminary. Come to the library’s reading room any time during Fall RFS when the library is open to explore the history of writing and publication and the role libraries have played at each stage of the seminary’s history. The exhibit draws entirely from Luther’s rare book room and library resources and features illuminated manuscripts, papyri, art, and more. The exhibit will be open during regular library hours—10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, September 18, and during the week of RFS (Monday September 21 to Friday September 25.) Join us for a day of inspiration, practical learning, joy, and fun designed for pastors and lay leaders at the Re:Church conference on the theme of “Reimagining the Future of Rural Ministry Together.” On Saturday, October 3, 2026 at Calvary Lutheran in Alexandria, MN, hear from Michael Chan of Concordia College, Kara Powell of Fuller Seminary, and Ben Winchester, a rural sociologist—three of today’s most thoughtful voices on faith, leadership, and the future of the church. Up to five people could travel with Jon Anderson, our director of Rural Ministries, to the event that day, leaving at 6:30 a.m. and returning around 6:30 p.m. Costs of transportation and event will be covered by a generous gift from a donor who supports rural ministry.
