Attention faculty and staff! Please join us at the Survey Research Group, formally known as the Qualtrics Users Group. We meet monthly via Zoom, with our next meeting on October 5 from 12–1 p.m. This group is for not just surveys, but also if you may use forms in Qualtrics, which is more sophisticated than Google Forms. For our next meeting we welcome you to learn about creating Reports in Qualtrics. There also should be time to ask questions on your projects and/or share what you have been doing. If you have questions and/or want to be added to our group, please contact Trina Smith (tsmith002@luthersem.edu).

October Is Cybersecurity Awareness Month—It’s Training Time Again
October is cyber security awareness month. Every faculty and staff member has an important role to play in protecting the security of the data kept by the Seminary.
In our digital lives data is at the heart of it. Luther Seminary has been trusted with data on our students, employees, alumni and donors. Your login information provides a key into Luther Seminary and that key needs to be protected. Also, as part of Luther’s Title IV financial aid requirements and insurance requirements employees must complete training twice a year for Luther to be compliant.
This year we have new videos with the same cast of characters from last year. You will see notification emails coming next week will be from notifications@alerts.mycurricula.com which is the training platform. The content should take you less than 30 minutes to complete and you might learn something new.
