Join us at 7 p.m. on January 9, 2024, for an evening with renowned New Testament scholar Amy-Jill Levine. Professor Levine will deliver Luther Seminary’s 2024 Fretheim Lecture in Biblical Theology, “The Parable of the Pharisee and the Tax Collector: Why Knowledge of Jewish History Matters for Christian Preaching and Teaching.” She will also offer a workshop for area clergy and seminary students from 3:30–5 p.m. before the lecture. Both events will be held in Olson Campus Center and are free and open to the public. The lecture will be livestreamed at youtube.com/lutherseminary.
***This event will be held on the Tuesday evening between winter RFS sessions. Students traveling to campus for just one of the RFS classes in January are invited to stay a day later or arrive a day earlier in order to attend this lecture!***
