For the past six months, Luther Seminary has been in a process of listening to the community and identifying our strategic priorities for the next three years. As we prepare to share the strategic plan with the board at their February meeting, we are hosting four listening sessions with students. These sessions will be co-hosted by a student council and the strategic planning design team. They will take place on Wednesday, January 5 and January 12, at noon in person and 3 p.m. Central via Zoom. Please mark your calendars and look for a reminder email with more details in early January. Thank you!

“The Congregation in a Secular Age” Named Best Theology Book of 2021
The Englewood Review of Books named Professor Andrew Root’s “The Congregation in a Secular Age” the best theology book of 2021 in its annual advent calendar of the best books of 2021 for Christian readers. In Englewood’s review of the book, Joel Wentz writes, “Andrew Root deserves to be recognized as one of our most important practical theologians, calling the church to a deeper understanding of the culture within which it disciples people ‘in participation with the life and ministry of this living God.’”
