The five philanthropic advisors on the Seminary Relations team are a talented, energetic group of professionals deeply engaged with and curious about everything that’s happening at Luther Seminary. We connected recently with them to learn more about what they do and how they approach their work.

For nearly 36 years, Mary Ann Teske has been a member of the library staff, serving our mission of providing theological education by ensuring the collection is well-maintained, organized, and accessible. As Mary Ann prepares to retire this summer, we asked her a few questions about her work and experiences at Luther Seminary.

April’s EcoFaith Summit in Duluth helped participants engage in learning and conversation around a central issue of our time—the climate crisis—and to listen for God’s call through the cries of the world. A contingent of Luther Seminary students, faculty, and staff participated in and helped lead the summit.

The Community Life Fellows are six students dedicated to serving the Luther Seminary community by organizing events and programs and supporting student orientation and commencement. Learn more about their work on campus and beyond.

Many Luther students, especially those preparing for ordination in the ELCA, have expressed interest in or questions about serving in a Reconciling in Christ (RIC) organization. This April, the RIC Advocacy Committee and the Office of Inclusion and Belonging co-sponsored an event to inform and educate interested community members on this topic.

The seminary community took a unique Lenten journey this year by creating art together. We asked Steve Thomason and Jeni Grangaard to share some insights about their thoughts on this community journey.
