Greetings Beloved Luther Seminary Community. Many congregations honored All Saints Day this past weekend. We spent last Wednesday celebrating the Reformation, and it was fun. Check it out here.
All Saints Day in each of our Daily Spiritual Practices.
All practices begin at 11:00am Central Time.
Monday – Text Study
Join on Zoom to look at the texts from Revised Common Lectionary for this week. We will pay particular attention to Jesus’ conversation with the Sadducees regarding the resurrection from the dead.
Tuesday – Contemplative Practice
This is a hybrid event. Gather in the OCC Meditation Chapel or on Zoom to spend 15 minutes of silence in community. You are invited to practice either centering prayer or contemplative sketching. Art supplies are provided.
Wednesday – Contemplative Liturgy with Holy Communion
Erin and I will guide us through a contemplative prayer space this week. Join us in the Chapel of the Incarnation or on YouTube. Come prepared for silence, candles, prayer, scripture, and communion. We hope it will be a beautiful opportunity to honor the saints–past, present, and future. Then, we will gather for treats in the Chapel Cafe immediately following the service.
Thursday – Lunch Church
Join us in the Dining Room. Ashley Wheeler will guide us through a creative collage process to honor and remember the Saints that have gone before us. Leaning into our Christian tradition with scripture, prayer, and breaking bread together. You are invited (but not required) to bring copies of any photos of loved ones you would like to remember. Please note these photos will be cut and glued- please make sure it is an extra copy/print out of your photo.
An Invitation to An Advent Journey

I invite you to join me on an Advent Journey. Each Tuesday evening during Advent I will spend one hour creating an original piece of art that reflects the Revised Common Lectionary texts and theme for the upcoming Sunday. The journey begins on Tuesday, November 25. You are invited to either bring your own art supplies and create with me, or simply sit back and allow my creative process to open up a contemplative space for you.
