This week we have two special celebrations!
First, it is time to celebrate REFORMATION DAY. This is the day where we remember the work of Martin Luther and how he was willing to speak publicly about his concerns with the church and society. His bold actions set the wheels in motion for the church to be reformed and ever reforming.
Join us this Wednesday in chapel where Jonathan Rundman will join Erin to lead us in music, Dr. Kristofer Phan-Coffman will preach, and Dr. Mark Granquist will preside. Then we will continue the celebration after the service in the Chapel Cafe with Emily’s sweet and savory treats.
Then, on Thursday, we have a special lunch church. Brother Doug Dockter, a Luther student, along with other members of the Order of Lutheran Franciscans will lead us in a blessing of the pets. Bring a photo of your pet for the blessing ceremony.
We will observe All Saint’s Day next Wednesday with a contemplative liturgy.
