Register for CL4560: Money and Mission of the Church! Grace Pomroy’s popular course just moved from RFS to fully online. Choose from an asynchronous or a synchronous section. This course includes a study of biblical texts related to giving and stewardship of resources, the meaning of money, one’s own attitudes regarding money and stewardship, theological foundations for financial stewardship, the importance of pastoral and lay leadership in a congregation’s stewardship ministry, and discussion of practical application to contemporary congregational life and preaching. As we come to the close of another enriching academic year, we are hosting a community gathering to experience a fun day out in the field.

Where. Murray field (behind Health Partners)
We hope to feature outdoor games of soccer and volleyball. We will have two teams register for three-a-side competitions in the soccer game category and two teams for the volleyball category. Each team is expected to choose the name they will prefer for their team and are welcome to encourage those who will attend to cheer a team as they play. (Meaning, there will be something to do for everyone who shows up). Light refreshment will be provided after the game. Kindly register your team online. And come prepared to win a trophy with your team.

Join us today—Wednesday, May 21—at 12 p.m. for lunch with the Golden Reunion attendees! Alumni from the class of 1975 will be on campus for their 50th Reunion. This lunch is a great chance for the Luther campus community to connect with alumni. Due to the Golden Reunion taking place on campus, we will have an influx of people and cars—to help accommodate this group visiting for their reunion, we ask that you leave campus lots open and park on the street, if you are able. The library staff invites you to join us for a raucous celebration of Paul Daniels’ many years of service as Luther Seminary’s archivist and art collection curator. Paul officially retires at the end of June, and we want to send him off with as much ballyhoo as possible to thank him for gracing us with over 40 years of time, effort, excellence, and thoughtful presence. Expect the usual round of embarrassing accolades—he is a shy Norwegian, after all—along with plenty of festive decorations, balloons, assorted treats and party favors, and a special chocolate cake (involving sprinkles, no doubt).
