The next meeting of the student council will take place today, Monday, February 3, from 12-1:30 p.m. CT. Student council meetings are always open to the community and recorded so that those unable to attend can view on a later date. The meeting will be held on Zoom (link in email).

What are Pocket Surveys? Pocket Surveys are short surveys to gauge student views about your experiences with various processes and offices on campus. These surveys will be distributed four times during this academic year to all students. Pocket surveys are can be done on a desktop, laptop, tablet, or smart phone and will take five minutes at the most to complete. Taking the survey is voluntary, but we urge you to share your thoughts. These are confidential and anonymous. You don’t have to answer questions you are not comfortable with. We ask for demographic information as part of our commitment to inclusion and belonging. We want to acknowledge and respect how diversity influences perspectives. General results are shared with the Luther Seminary campus community. The Moodle server will be updated to latest operating system version on Sunday, February 2. During the upgrade, Moodle will be unavailable. This upgrade is scheduled from 7–9 a.m. Sunday morning.

The winter season is a good time to remind everyone how decisions are made to close the campus due to weather events. The decision to close or delay the opening of the seminary due to weather or other emergencies is made jointly by the academic deans and dean of students. When a decision is made to close the campus, notifications will be issued to the campus community using the Omnilert alert system, email, community announcement, and website banner.
