Shamani Shikwambi appointed Dean of Students and Vice President of Inclusion and Belonging
Last week, the Luther Seminary board of trustees approved the appointment of Dr. Shamani Shikwambi as (no-longer-interim) Dean of Students and Vice President of Inclusion and Belonging. Shamani began his career in education as a middle school teacher in his home country of Namibia. He is a life-long Lutheran who has come to love Minnesota’s vibrant communities, beautiful lakes, and seasonal rhythms. This profile shares more about our new Dean of Students.

Graduating this month and still figuring out what to do this summer—or for the next 6-12 months? Consider applying for Luther Seminary’s Graduate Preaching Fellowship, a unique and generous fellowship that allows you to study preaching and ministry in a variety of cultural contexts. Travel to and learn from rural, suburban, and urban communities in domestic and/or international contexts. Any student in any degree program at Luther Seminary can apply, and your fellowship can last anywhere from 1 to 12 months. Your experience as a graduate preaching fellow begins after your graduation from Luther Seminary. Applications are processed on a rolling basis, and decisions are made within 30 days.
