INVITE Prayer Vigil – October 13 [In-Person]
INVITE is a group on campus committed to “integrating nonviolence into theological education.” This group has been around since 2002. Several of the people who began it are now pastors locally who are living into this work with their congregations. This fall INVITE has already had people attend a Kingian nonviolence training at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church and gather to raise awareness around Indian Boarding Schools and their aftermath in the US. On October 13, we will join with ICOM (the interfaith coalition on immigration) in their monthly vigil at the Whipple Building by MSP airport. Join us that morning at 7:30 a.m. for an interfaith prayer vigil—a peaceful, nonviolent, prayerful way to bear witness to the challenges facing our immigrant communities and to be present to our beloved neighbors. Contact Mary Hess for information about INVITE and to be put on our email list.
Inside Luther News – Deadline for November Edition
Want to share something in an upcoming edition of Inside Luther News, the seminary’s internal e-newsletter? Send your announcement to communic@luthersem.edu. Submit items for the November edition by Wednesday, October 14. Inside Luther News content is meant to be somewhat broader in scope—seasonal announcements, monthly reminders, stories about recent events or news of upcoming projects—than the daily Community Announcements posts and emails.
Campus Entryway Doors and Signage
Posters and fliers around campus may be hung up on the designated bulletin boards found in many locations in campus buildings. Promotional signage should not be put up on building entryway doors and windows, including the interior doors (second set of doors) that are part of the entryway. The small signs providing buildings access information are the only signage permitted on entryway doors and windows. If you have questions, email communic@luthersem.edu.
