INVITE is a group on campus committed to “integrating nonviolence into theological education.” This group has been around since 2002. Several of the people who began it are now pastors locally who are living into this work with their congregations. This fall INVITE has already had people attend a Kingian nonviolence training at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church and gather to raise awareness around Indian Boarding Schools and their aftermath in the US. On October 13, we will join with ICOM (the interfaith coalition on immigration) in their monthly vigil at the Whipple Building by MSP airport. Join us that morning at 7:30 a.m. for an interfaith prayer vigil—a peaceful, nonviolent, prayerful way to bear witness to the challenges facing our immigrant communities and to be present to our beloved neighbors. Contact Mary Hess for information about INVITE and to be put on our email list.

Fall Air Conditioner Removal
As we transition into the fall season, the Facilities team will begin removing window air conditioning units across campus starting Monday, October 5. Facilities staff will be working throughout campus to remove and store the units for the season. We will do our best to minimize disruptions while working in offices, classrooms, and other inhabited spaces. We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we complete this seasonal work. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Facilities team.
