New Campus Visit – September 17
Calling all residential students—you are invited to join the Office of Student Affairs for a complimentary cup of coffee, walk, and lunch around Luther Seminary’s new campus. We’ll roll out from the Bockman parking lot at 10 a.m. on Thursday, September 17 and head to FRGMNT Coffee at the Mill District for drinks and pastries. Then we’ll walk around Gold Medal Park, over to the Guthrie Theater, and end at Stone Arch Bridge. Lunch will be back where we started, at Clay Oven Indian Cuisine. We’ll aim to eat around 12:30 p.m. and get back to campus by 2 p.m. Add your name to this Google Doc if you’d like to join us.
Internship Info Session – September 22 [Hybrid] [updated location]
Is your Luther internship on the horizon? Do you have questions about where to start or what to expect? Join our Contextual Learning team on Tuesday, September 22 from 4–5 p.m. in OCC 213 or via Zoom (link in email) for an info session about internships. This session is intended for ELCA candidates in both the ‘Word and Sacrament’ and ‘Word and Service’ paths.
Office of Technology Staffing Update
We are pleased to announce that Christopher Valentine has accepted the position of Programmer Analyst at Augsburg University as part of our shared services IT program. Christopher will transition from being an employee of Luther Seminary to being an employee of Augsburg University on September 14. In his new role, Christopher will be part of the Enterprise Solutions Team supporting the Workday implementation at Augsburg. While Christopher is becoming an Augsburg employee on the 14, we will do a gradual transition of his work responsibilities while we work to bring in a replacement. Christopher joined Luther Seminary in February 2025 and has been a valuable member of the User Support Team, supporting faculty, staff, and students with a high level of skill and professionalism. Please join us in congratulating Christopher on this exciting new opportunity!
