In this devotion, Michael DeKraai ’90 M.Div., reminds us that, left to ourselves, there is no getting away from the sin that dwells within us. Read today’s God Pause.

We gather at 11:00 a.m. CT in the Chapel of the Incarnation for a student-led service of Holy Communion. M.Div. student Nathan Adu-Gyamfi will be preaching and Joyce Ngandango will preside, with special music from the Luther Seminary International Student Choir. The service will be livestreamed.

This evening over 200 youth—middle and high schoolers—from the Twin Cities area will be on our campus attending our annual youth group night. Youth Group night is in partnership with Gather Twin Cities and Lutheran Campus Ministries Twin Cities. Youth Night will be from 5:30–8:30 p.m.

Start your morning with our seventh “Brake Bread” event on Thursday, April 23 in Gullixson Hall 101 from 9-10 a.m. We will gather around bread, jam, and coffee while building deeper community connections and celebrating a particular campus space—this time in Gullixson Hall. Supported by an Endowment Lab Grant from Thrivent, these “Brake Bread” gatherings are intentional moments to build relationships, listen to one another, laugh together, and celebrate the good work and learning being done among us. Summer registration begins Tuesday, April 21 by class. We will host advising sessions to assist with any registration questions you may have. If you have course planning questions, email advising@luthersem.edu. Please include your degree program in your email so the appropriate advisor can respond. Spring registration opens at 9 a.m. CT on these dates:

• Tuesday, April 21: Seniors, Interns, Affiliated, ThM, PhD
• Wednesday, April 22: Middlers
• Thursday, April 23: Juniors and Certificates
• Friday, April 24: Non-Degree

Advising support will be available 9–10 a.m. via Zoom (link to come) on April 21, 22, and 23. The advising team and Registrar’s Office staff will be available to answer questions about fall courses and assist if you encounter issues registering.

Help out at the Minneapolis Area Synod Assembly. Candidates, interns, and recent graduates are invited to join us at Synod Assembly by serving as a Floor Team member (a non-voting volunteer). This team assists with training on the Assembly app, bringing information or treats to attendees, and anything else that might come up. If you choose to be a member of the Floor Team, there is no fee to attend Synod Assembly. Volunteering includes lunch and snacks. Floor Team Volunteers will be needed on Friday and Saturday.
