Drawing through Lent: A Community Journey
Let’s journey through Lent as a community and with art we create together! During our Ash Wednesday chapel service, Steve Thomason created live a piece of art that guided us into a contemplative space around the meaning of the ashes. We will follow a Monday-Wednesday pattern (dates below) over the weeks of Lent. During the Monday evening contemplative art experiences, Steve will create an original piece of art during the livestream as a reflection on the theme of the week. Pastor Jeni will be present in the chat to facilitate conversation. You are invited to enter this contemplative space by:
- Watching and enjoying the creation of live art
- Engaging in the chat by offering verbal reflections, asking questions, or offering prayers and prayer requests
- Creating art in your own space, with an invitation to email your art to Pastor Jeni so we can create a collaborative art gallery of our Lenten journey.
During the Wednesday chapel services, the image created Monday evening will be incorporated into the worship experience.
Monday Livestreams — 7:00 p.m. CT > March 25
