The west entrance to the Olson Campus Center will be closed February 29 through March 5. Our team of contractors will be working within the tunnel space and the chapel, where two temporary enclosures have been set up along the west wall. These enclosures will facilitate the required work while controlling dust. We apologize for any inconvenience caused and appreciate your understanding as we strive to make progress. During this period, the upper and lower east entrances will remain open. We thank you for your patience and continued support as we ensure the safety and integrity of our campus facilities.

The focus of the lunch presentation will be Genesis 1 and Acts 8 as models of a faithful response to LGBTQ+ people, responses that affirm goodness and inclusion. In briefly exploring these passages, Sabia-Tanis will highlight how we might put biblical guidance into practice, particularly with transgender, non-binary, and Two-Spirit people. We will also consider the costs to church and world of attitudes that exclude and stigmatize.
The Rev. Dr. Justin Sabia-Tanis is associate professor of Social Transformation and Leadership at United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities. He is a queer, trans theologian who recently served as managing director at the Center for LGBTQ and Gender Studies in Religion (CLGS).
