To support students who may be facing food insecurity, Luther Seminary operates a direct-order grocery process for the seminary community. Luther Seminary’s Grocery Assistance Program is a lifeline for students facing food insecurity. Started during the pandemic, this vital program continues to provide essential groceries to an average of 25 students each week. Through the program, students can request necessary food items that are then carefully processed, purchased, and delivered to campus by dedicated volunteers. This initiative helps students meet their nutritional needs and fosters a sense of community and support within the seminary. Your generous donation will ensure that this program can continue to make a real difference in the lives of Luther Seminary students. On the Grocery Assistance Program webpage, you can make a one-time or recurring gift to support this important ministry.

2026 Fosdick Lecture on Preaching at Augsburg University [Hybrid]
Augsburg University’s Campus Ministry invites you to the ninth annual Fosdick Lecture on Preaching. This year’s lecture will be delivered by Alan Storey, a renowned Gospel storyteller and facilitator of personal and political change from South Africa. A former conscientious objector during the apartheid regime, Reverend Storey has dedicated his life to the “experimental practice of the Sermon on the Mount,” working extensively on issues of social justice, human rights, and reconciliation.
Wednesday, April 15, 11:30 a.m. refreshments, 12 p.m. lecture
Hoversten Chapel, Augsburg University, 613 S 22nd Ave, Minneapolis
The event is free and open to the public. Register to receive parking and livestream information. In a time when our communities are seeking words of hope and a call back to justice, Rev. Storey’s insights on the Jesus way of peacemaking are timely and vital. We hope you can join us for this inspiring session.

2026 EcoFaith Summit – April 18
Join us for a day-long regional gathering to talk about caring for our creation. This year’s theme is From Fear to Fire: Igniting Community for a Planet in Peril. Transportation will be available for up to twelve people—students, staff, faculty—who sign up here. If you would like to travel to Duluth on your own, let us know. If you travel with us the cost of transportation, registration, and a meal at the event will be covered by the Rural Ministry Fund. If you will be traveling on your own, we will still cover registration costs. You can also watch it on livestream. One van will leave early Saturday morning and return Saturday evening. We are considering having the other van heading up on Friday—let us know on the sign up form if you are interested in that option.
