OCC Repairs Weekly Update: October 7-11
Repairs to the area around the west entrance of Olson Campus Center continued this week. Our partners at G5 Construction have completed repair of structural steel, painted the steel, and covered it, where appropriate. Structural concrete work has also been completed. Final work on surface masonry and restoration of the poured concrete ramp will happen soon. A tar membrane will be installed before the ramp concrete is poured. The project is about two weeks behind official expectations but is still expected to be completed by Halloween.
For reminders about safety, project impacts, and communication, see my introductory message about the project.
As always, thank you for your support of our operations team and their work,
Rob Verke
Director of Operations

Last Day to Nominate for Secondary Student Council Election
Today at 12 p.m. is the last day to nominate students for the secondary student council election. A secondary election is being held per the student council handbook because the positions of M.Div. Representative and Other Program Representative (which includes graduate certificate students) were not filled in the first election. If these positions remain vacant after the secondary election, the officers of student council will evaluate if another election will be held or the seat will remain vacant for the remainder of the term/year. Nominate yourself or someone you know online.
