The staff in the Office of the Registrar has received the feedback from the most recent pocket survey. We are glad to know that most members of our community find this office to be responsive and respectful to their needs. We take seriously the areas for improvement that were mentioned such as degree audits and accessibility of our forms. In the coming months we will be producing a few educational resources to help students navigate these important processes in the Registrar’s Office. Look for these in the Community Announcements emails and on MyLutherNet. We will also be exploring new ways to be more visible during times when campus has the most activity. As always, please feel free to reach out to either of us for any support our office can offer.

Get help with your energy bills! Community Action’s Energy Assistance Program helps thousands of households in Ramsey and Washington counties pay energy bills and improve the efficiency of their homes. The 2023-2024 guidelines are on the Energy Assistance page under the How Do I Apply? header. The program ends May 31, 2024. Join the RIC Advocacy Committee and Gather Twin Cities as we commemorate Trans Day of Visibility and National Day of Silence. We will gather in the Chapel of the Incarnation and on Zoom (register here) on April 21 at 7:00 p.m. Central. Come to worship as you are—beautifully and wonderfully made in the image of our awesome creator!

On Saturday, April 20, from 9:00-11:45 a.m., join master’s student Caleb Rollins, local architectural historian Rolf Anderson, and Dr. Cody Sanders on a morning excursion to see three important gems of church architecture in the Twin Cities:

• Chapel of the Cross in Northwestern Hall at Luther Seminary – designed by the firm of Luther Seminary alumn Edward Sövik, a leader in 20th c. religious architecture
• Church of St. Bernard in St. Paul – an unusual Prairie/Art Nouveau church from the early 20th c.
• Christ Church Lutheran in Minneapolis – a Modernist mid-century National Historic Landmark designed by famed father and son architects Eliel and Eero Saarinen.

All are invited to join us. Rolf Anderson will provide context and insight into these three buildings as we all take in their unique beauty.
