The seminary has received a new, $1.25 million grant from Lilly Endowment Inc. to support the education and renewal of Christian preachers. The grant reinforces our commitment to Christian preaching by establishing the Compelling Word Initiative, which seeks to promote preaching in community and to address the challenge faced by many in the pulpit of experiencing proclamation as a burden.
