Be Still – Virtual Stillness Practice

Posted on February 5, 2026

The world around us seems to be getting heavier by the minute, and it’s often hard to know what’s ours to do when the needs of our neighbors all seem urgent and endless. When the world seems to be more than we can handle, God reminds us in Exodus 14:14: “The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” If you’re in need of a space to take a breath, slow down, and listen for the still small voice of God, please join us for the next installment of Be Still. We will engage in practice and discussion as we reflect on what it means to rest in God’s unforced rhythms of grace. We meet via Zoom (link in email) on Thursday, February 5 at 6:15 p.m. CT. Email Alison Westphal, awestphal001@luthersem.edu, with questions or to let me know if you’re planning to join. If you’re interested in joining but can’t make it this week, don’t worry. We will be continue meeting the rest of the school year.
