Would you like to be part of a creative project? This Lent, the chapel at Luther Seminary will host a collaborative, community-created project centered on the theme “Encounters with Christ.” We will engage the Gospel reading for each week of Lent and respond visually on a community banner. No art skills required. The banner will hang in the chapel on Wednesday and grow each week. To help bring this to life, we are forming a new Creative Collective on campus and inviting students, staff, faculty, and friends—artists and non-artists alike—who are curious about art, worship, and communal creativity to join us as collaborators and co-leaders. This group will help imagine, prepare, and animate the Lenten project (materials, presence at lunch church, creative facilitation) and will also lay the groundwork for an ongoing community exploring art and faith together through workshops, museum visits, and shared practice. You don’t need to be an “expert”—just open, curious, and willing to create in community. If this sparks your imagination, we’d love to gather a small group and dream together. Please put your name on this list if you are interested.
