Support the Grocery Assistance Program

Posted on June 4, 2025

To support students who may be facing food insecurity, Luther Seminary operates a direct-order grocery process for the seminary community. Luther Seminary’s Grocery Assistance Program is a lifeline for students facing food insecurity. Started during the pandemic, this vital program continues to provide essential groceries to an average of 25 students each week. Through the program, students can request necessary food items that are then carefully processed, purchased, and delivered to campus by dedicated volunteers. This initiative not only helps students meet their nutritional needs but also fosters a sense of community and support within the seminary. Your generous donation will ensure that this program can continue to make a real difference in the lives of Luther Seminary students. On the Grocery Assistance Program webpage, you can make a one-time or recurring gift to support this important ministry.

Summer Hours

Posted on June 4, 2025

Summer hours help employees create lengthened weekends by working shortened lunch breaks, thus freeing up 2½ hours on Friday afternoon to use as desired. An employee’s summer hours plan needs to be developed directly with and approved by their supervisor to ensure consistent service for constituents. Summer hours run from June 2 through August 29. Hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Friday, with a one-half hour lunch break. See the Staff Handbook for more information.

New Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) Requirement for Rippling

Posted on June 4, 2025

Rippling now requires multi-factor authentication (MFA) for all users. MFA provides an added layer of security by requiring a second form of verification—something only you have—when signing in. This significantly reduces the risk of unauthorized access to your Rippling account, even if your password is compromised. Your Rippling account contains highly sensitive information including your personal details, payroll data, and direct deposit banking information. Using Duo Mobile for MFA helps ensure that only you can access this information, keeping your identity and finances secure.
– What to Expect. The next time you sign in to Rippling, you will be prompted to set up MFA. We recommend using the Duo Mobile app to complete this process. Instructions for adding Rippling as an account in your Duo Mobile MFA app can be accessed here.
– Going Forward. Each time you log in to Rippling, you’ll be asked to enter the current 6-digit code from the Duo Mobile app to verify your identity.
For assistance setting up multi-factor authentication for your Rippling account, contact helpdesk@luthersem.edu.
