As I’m developing the upcoming spring offering of Congregational Care and Formation, I’d love to have some imaginative conversation with students on the course design. Whether you’ve already taken the course, will take it in the spring, or will take it sometime in the future, I’d love for you to participate in this “design lab” to think alongside me about the elements of the course (readings, topics, questions, assignments) in ways that will help shape it into what I hope will be a useful, impactful, and transformative course of the future of your ministry. Meet in the Bockman 116 community room, or you can join via Zoom on Monday, Oct. 30 from 9:00-10:00 a.m. Light refreshments provided.

Tell Us What You Want (What You Really, Really Want) from DL Community Life
If you haven’t taken the opportunity to take this quick survey, please do! Community Life is looking for feedback on what works, what doesn’t, and what you’d like to see happen, especially for virtually-based DL activities. Thank you to those who have already responded—encourage a friend to include their voice, too! Submit before Sunday, October 22.

In this devotion, Phil Larson ’83 M.Div. reflects on being the church in the thick of our lives and citizenship. Read today’s God Pause.
Interested in Handbell Ringing? October 25 Is Your Chance. No Experience Required.
Do you play handbells, or have you ever wanted to play handbells? We need 8-10 handbell ringers to do some random ringing with the opening hymn during our Reformation Service on October 25. (Operative word is “random.”)
Zero experience required—no music reading necessary—only a willingness to give it a try.
Please let Arlene Flancher know at aflancher001@luthersem.edu. We’ll meet at 10:30 am on Oct 25 and you’ll learn everything you need to know before playing in worship. I promise!
