The Post Evangelical Meet Up group is for members of the Luther Seminary community (students, faculty, and staff) who have had experience in more Evangelical or Fundamentalist traditions but have now moved into the Mainline. We are basically a support group, a safe place to process the nuances of the things we might miss or treasure from our evangelical experiences as we explore the reasons we had to leave that tradition. The idea is not to retraumatize anyone or just hate on evangelicalism, but to have thoughtful conversations with others who have made this transition and support each other when things come up that are theologically confusing or painful. Reach out to Lauren Mildahl (lmildahl001@luthersem.edu) if you want to learn more!
