Drawing the Bible | Live Stream Art Session with Professor Thomason
Need a little mid-afternoon break? Love art and the Bible? Join Professor Thomason today, Thursday, July 27, at 2:00 p.m. CT for a YouTube Livestream session where he will be demonstrating the creative process for drawing A Cartoonist’s Guide to Acts. This is a project where he illustrates the book of Acts as a graphic novel.
The book will be used as the basis for an upcoming Faith+Lead Academy Course on Acts. The weekly livestream art sessions are also part of Professor Thomason’s ongoing exploration of New Media for Faith Education. You will be able to ask questions via the chat during the livestream, or just sit back and enjoy the drawing process. If you can’t make it live, the session will remain on the Drawing the Bible playlist on YouTube to view at your leisure.
Here’s the link to the livestream https://www.youtube.com/live/hDCDB5mD34g?feature=share
(apologies to any who may have clicked on it last week and found nothing there. We’re still learning!)

Prayers Requested from Dean of Students
From, Leon Rodrigues, Dean of Students: “We received the tragic news that my brother-in-law, and youngest brother to my wife, Sophie, succumbed to a severe infection caused by kidney failure in a South African hospital on Thursday evening. Please keep us in prayer as we deal with this tremendous loss and as we make travel and funeral arrangements.”
