Residential Focus Session (RFS) courses provide 20 hours of intensive, in-person learning across three days at the beginning of a term and 20 hours in an extended session spread over the remaining weeks of the term. RFS courses supplement online and in-person learning by providing an important avenue to build community through worship, fellowship, social activities, endowed lectures and other special events, and time in person with faculty and peers.
Each 14-week semester (Fall/Spring) and 6-week term (Winter/Summer) typically begins with two Residential Focus Sessions. Each session lasts three days. Students can enroll in either or both sessions depending on course offerings.
- Fall RFS: Mid-September
- Winter RFS: Early January
- Spring RFS: Late February
- Summer RFS: Mid-June
