Welcome to Our New Registrar!
We’re delighted to welcome Christian Eriksen to the Luther Seminary community as our new Registrar. Christian will report to Terri Elton, dean of Academic Affairs, and will work closely with our academic affairs, student affairs, and admissions teams to support student academic achievement, accreditation processes, and other vital areas of the job.
Christian comes to us with a wide range of work experiences, including serving as Registrar and Title IX Coordinator at United Theological Seminary to his current work serving as an elected City Council member for Brooklyn Park. Christian has worked in higher education and student services for over 12 years, bringing rich insights and understanding of this changing environment. Before that, he was the coordinator for Synodical Services and mission support for the ELCA. Christian holds an MA in Marriage and Family Therapy from Bethel University and a BA in International Relations-Diplomacy from the University of Minnesota.
Also, a note of deep gratitude to Maria Olson, who has served as our interim registrar these past few months. She, along with the support of other colleagues and departments, worked to keep all registrar office processes going strong and supporting a variety of academic processes with skill and dedication while we conducted the hiring process
