Join Doug Dockter of the Order of Lutheran Franciscans at Lunch Church for a brief introduction to Saints Francis and Clare of Assisi and the vows and ministry of the Order of Lutheran Franciscans. After answering your questions, we proceed to a short blessing of the animals. Bring photos of the animals in your life that you will want blessed. If you want to bring your pet in person, arrive at 11:30 a.m. and we will hold the blessing ceremony outside or in the lobby of OCC if the weather is inhospitable. Lunch is provided.

On Friday, October 31, from 10:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m., the Luther Seminary Library is opening the doors of the rare book room for a Reformation Day Open House. Come wander our most mysterious little corner, enjoy the old books and oddities, and get a peek at the spooky/beautiful side of church history. Drop in any time, bring a friend, and celebrate Reformation Day with us in proper nerdy style.

It’s time for the Luther Seminary pumpkin carving contest! Share your (family-friendly) carved pumpkin (jack o’lantern) photo on the Luther Seminary Community Life Facebook page or send an email to communitylife@luthersem.edu anytime October 27–30. Final results will be announced on November 6.
