Seminary Community Conversation – Today
Today—Tuesday, September 16, 11:30 a.m.–1 p.m., OCC Dining Room—members of the seminary community will explore together a variety of answers to the question “What does it mean to be human?” We will consider how answers to this question might intersect with a scientific understanding of human origins and will explore how scientific discoveries related to human origins might inform preparation for and practice of religious community leadership. This conversation will be facilitated by Jim Miller, BSIC co-chair, and Lee Meadows, science teacher educator.
Welcome to the World, Henry James
Shawn Zimmer and his wife, Melissa, welcomed a baby boy last Friday—Henry James. We keep them all in our prayers during this blessed time.
FAD (Faith After Deconstruction) Zoom Meeting
FAD (Faith After Deconstruction) is meant to be a safe space for people with backgrounds in evangelicalism or fundamentalism, where we explore how that influences our current faith. We are open to all Luther Seminary students, faculty, and staff. We’ll be meeting via Zoom (link in email) on September 16 at 3 p.m. central time. If you are interested in joining us, please contact Joellen Barak (jbarak001@luthersem.edu) for further information.
Door Access Reminders – Fall 2025 RFS

You will find—this fall only—that Olson Campus Center doors are unlocked during weekday afternoons and evenings to provide public access to the Smithsonian exhibit.
