Application to Graduate – 2025-26 Graduates
In mid-September, eligible students will receive an invitation to complete an application to graduate. As part of the application, you will be asked to enter a completion plan. In preparation for completing the application, please review your degree audit and make sure you have a plan to complete each of your remaining requirements. If you have any questions, this is a great time to connect with your advisor and/or the contextual education office. In order to run a degree audit, log in to MyLutherNet, chose the ‘Degree’ tab, and click on degree audit toward the top right of your screen.
LG4525 Ministry with Latinos/as/xs – Spring 2026
Students interested in taking LG4525 Ministry with Latinos/as/xs in the spring with Jenny Pietz must demonstrate intermediate competence in Spanish prior to registration. Our colleagues at Augsburg University will be providing an assessment exam, organized through the Office of the Registrar. If you plan to take the course, complete the following steps:
- Email ceriksen001@luthersem.edu with the subject line “SPRING SPANISH” by September 26. In the email, indicate if you want to take the course pass/fail or letter grade.
- You will receive instructions from Augsburg University to complete the assessment online.
- Complete the assessment by the end of October.
- The Office of the Registrar will complete registration for all students who meet the competence requirement.
- Students will not be able to self-register for this course.
Admissions Hiring Student Ambassadors for 2025-2026 School Year
The admissions opffice has an immediate need both for new Front Desk Admissions Ambassadors (2 positions) and new on-call Admissions Ambassadors (residential, commuter, and DL students encouraged to apply) to provide digital and in-person hospitality to prospective students exploring Luther Seminary through virtual, in-person, and off-campus visits and events. Front Desk Admissions Ambassadors have an on-call, work-as-needed position supporting campus visits, events, front desk duties, and other tasks communicated by the Admissions Team (hours vary). Ambassadors must commit to a regular front desk shift in the Admissions Office during the business week (Tuesday-Thursday). Do you have questions, concerns, wonderments, or even worries about your personal financial situation? We got you! Grace Pomroy, Director of the Stewardship Leaders Program is a certified financial education instructor. She listens and provides support in a shame-free, judgement-free zone. Hundreds of students have talked with Grace and received valuable support. You determine the topics that will be covered based on your specific situation, then together with Grace, you’ll figure out what the next steps should be. Grace has time open on her calendar every week to meet with students via Zoom. Snag your time here. Rather meet in person? - What Does It Mean to Be Human? Preparation for Religious Leadership
Tuesday, September 16, 11:30 a.m.–1 p.m., OCC Dining Room
Members of the seminary community will explore together a variety of answers to the question “What does it mean to be human?” We will consider how answers to this question might intersect with a scientific understanding of human origins and will explore how scientific discoveries related to human origins might inform preparation for and practice of religious community leadership.
