Roberta (Bobbie) Dale will be moving on from her role as executive assistant in Student Affairs on September 11. Bobbie has been instrumental in serving our department. Apart from her duties as my assistant, she has brought her legal mind to our policy development, most notably Luther Seminary’s Title IX policy and student handbook. She has also converted the student handbook to Coursedog, making it more accessible to our community. Bobbie has been a dependable colleague when it comes to events, RFS arrangements, and maintaining connections with students. She is a collaborator and served unselfishly across departments. Several seminary staff have written to me personally to acknowledge the work she has done with and for them. We thank Bobbie for her contributions to the seminary and pray God’s blessings on her as she transitions to a new role with the Metropolitan Council.

Repairs to the area around the west entrance of Olson Campus Center continued this week. Our partners at G5 Construction have removed masonry in more areas of the outer walls and in the tunnel to expose more of the damaged supports and further assess the extent of structural deficiencies. As work progressed, it was discovered that the ramp/chapel wall mortar joints were degraded more severely than initially assessed. This additional brick has been removed and will be replaced.  

Like last week, this week includes work that is at times noisy and will produce some dust. We appreciate your patience and flexibility in utilizing (or not) the areas of OCC not directly related to the construction work.
