Prof. Matthew Skinner is teaching a travel course centered around a trip to Istanbul and the breathtaking excavations of many ancient sites—including Ephesus, Pergamum, Sardis, and Alexandria Troas. The trip allows you to learn in places associated with the seven churches addressed by the book of Revelation, the ministry of Paul the Apostle, and the episodes from Acts set in this region. Discover more about how the New Testament reflects political and cultural realities that influenced ancient Christ followers, their interactions with their neighbors, and their efforts to bear witness to Christ. There are no prerequisites for the travel course. Online registration for the trip begins on July 31 at 10 a.m. central. Learn more about the trip and registration process. Only students and their family members can register for the trip beginning July 31. On August 14, the trip registration opens also to seminary staff and friends of the seminary.
