Thank you for your interest in housing at Luther Seminary! Our goal is to maximize the use of our available units and to help foster community for our new students.
All leases will run through September 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027, unless an amended term is requested and approved. Deposits are equal to one month’s rent. All rent will be charged to your student account which must be paid off to receive your diploma and transcripts. Please read all following information before applying or emailing questions to Housing.

Bockman Hall
Bockman Hall is a multi-purpose building with classrooms, faculty and staff offices, a kitchen and lounge space, and dormitory rooms. Dormitory rooms are on the top floor of the building, which is only accessible by residents and approved staff with an active seminary key card. One wing houses female students while the other houses male students. The bathrooms are separated by gender, with an all gender restroom and shower available as well. The majority of our international community lives here. Children, couples, and pets are not allowed.
Rent is charged monthly to student accounts.

- Bockman Hall Dorm double room 1 occupant: $492 per month

- Notes:
- Individual microwaves and space heaters are not permitted in resident rooms. Air conditioners can be installed by Facilities.
- Although Bockman Hall is not air conditioned, shared air conditioned spaces are available for residents during warmer months.
Houses
Houses are available only to Luther Seminary students, their spouses, and dependents; all adult tenants must sign a lease. Houses are unfurnished. Tenants are responsible for all utilities except for water and recycling/trash.
Rent is charged by monthly to student accounts and utilities are not included must be set up in the name of a resident within 30 days of move-in.
Assignment Priorities
Assignment priorities for on-campus housing exist with the goal of maximizing the use of our available units and helping to foster community for our new students.
- Current residents enrolled in on-campus courses requesting renewals.
- Current residents requesting lease extensions; these are approved on a case-by-case basis.
- Incoming (new) international students (F-1 or J-1 visas; no family housing options).
- Incoming (new) Ph.D. students (for first year of study).
- Incoming (new) residential students (first come, first served–assignments to begin May 2026).
- Continuing or returning students living off campus who are enrolled in on-campus (residential) courses.
- Students admitted after housing placements have begun in May.
