Dr. Matt Skinner will preach from Galatians 3:27-29 and help us to see how the value of <strong>BELONGING<\/strong> flows from our <strong>baptismal identity<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Gathered around Baptism, not Communion this week<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Please note that we will not be sharing in communion this week. As a chapel that is anchored in the Lutheran Confessions, we understand that worship consists of Word and Sacrament. We have two sacraments in our tradition: Baptism and Communion. Since our theme is baptism this week, and since we have a unique opportunity to support a family in our community through baptism, we will not be sharing in the promises of God at the table this week. We will gather around the font and celebrate the promise of God&#8217;s grace and salvation through Jesus Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit in the waters of baptism. It will be joyous!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Archbishop of Nigeria, Musa Panti Filibus, will be our special guest in Chapel this week. We look forward to receiving a blessing from him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Other Communal Spiritual Practices<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>note:<\/strong> all communal practices begin at 11:00am Central Time. The <a href=\"https:\/\/luthersem.zoom.us\/j\/98372966722\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Zoom link<\/a> is the same for all events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Monday Text Study<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Discuss the text for the week and prepare yourself for Wednesday\u2019s sermon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Tuesday Contemplative Practice<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Join in the OCC Meditation Chapel or on Zoom for a time of silent contemplation in community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Thursday Lunch Church<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Gather in the Dining Room for a time of shared spiritual practice around a free community meal.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We come to our second value in the ABIDE framework this week.
