The event is called the <strong>Triumphal Entry<\/strong>. If you grew up in the church then you probably have fond memories of children parading around the sanctuary waving palm branches while the congregation sings \u201cHosanna!\u201d People are generally smiling and the tone of the word is joyful and light.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This week, as I\u2019ve studied the story in Luke\u2019s version, a few questions have popped up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Where are the palm branches?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Where are the \u201chosannas\u201d?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Why are we so happy when Jesus is so somber?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>I invite you to meditate on two images. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.stevethomason.net\/2021\/03\/24\/where-did-the-palms-and-hosanna-go-in-luke\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">read more\u2026<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Coming Up in Chapel This Week<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><em>All chapel events are at 11:00am except Thursday evening<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Monday<\/strong>\u00a0text study on\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/luthersem.zoom.us\/j\/98372966722\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Zoom<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Tuesday<\/strong>\u00a0Contemplative Practice  in OCC Meditation Chapel and on\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/luthersem.zoom.us\/j\/98372966722\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Zoom<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Wednesday<\/strong>\u00a0Experience the events of Holy Week through scripture and song with Holy Communion in the Chapel of the Incarnation and on\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/inside.luthersem.edu\/deanofthechapel\/watch-livestream\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">YouTube<\/a>.
