Return to Campus – Employees
Welcome back! We are so happy to see you.

Staying Safe – General
- Refrain from use of personal heaters, refrigerators, coffee makers, or microwaves. These personal items will overload the electrical circuits in Bockman and Gullixson Hall. Common use refrigerators, microwaves, and coffee makers are available for community use.
- Please review your copy of the Emergency Procedures (laminated sheet) in your office.
- Be responsible for your personal safety every day. Can you answer these questions?
- Where is the closest exit?
- Where is a secondary exit?
- Where is the fire extinguisher?
- What is the address of the location? If you use your cell phone for 911, they will ask you that question.
- These questions are important to answer in the first 30 seconds of being in any space—restaurant, doctor’s office, classroom, etc. Having this information before a crisis is beneficial to your safety. Chances are you will never need this information, but making personal safety a habit is something you can live with.
- If you dial 911 from a campus phone at Luther Seminary, be prepared to direct first responders to Bockman Hall or Gullixson Hall at 2375 Como Avenue or to Olson Campus Center at 1490 Fulham Avenue. Please remind each other of this when and if you are in a situation where you have to dial 911.
- Sign up for text message alerts (login required) about campus emergencies or weather-related closings and cancellations.
