\u2022 Adding a sever room to GXH \u2022 Re-routing Fiber-optic cables from NWH \u2022 Improving Networking throughout the buildings \u2022 Improving WiFi access \u2022 Adding natural gas to GXH – DONE \u2022 Improvement to hallway lighting – DONE \u2022 Patching walls and ceilings where needed \u2022 Painting rooms\/closets and hallways \u2022 Improvement of office lighting \u2022 Improvement of air circulation \u2022 Building shelving into closets as needed \u2022 Improving community kitchens (adding a small kitchen space on BH 2nd floor) – DONE \u2022 Contracting\/scheduling movers \u2022 Moving furniture \u2022 Recycling and\\or shredding files \u2022 Moving Art\/Archive pieces to storage \u2022 Preparing external storage areas with shelving \u2022 Re-purposing houses into short-term housing (3 houses) \u2022 Moving individual department items to \u2018long-term\u2019 storage \u2022 Elevator access for 3rd floor BH (student housing) by ID access only \u2022 Securing 3rd floor BH (student housing) \u2022 Opening fire-doors on BH 2nd \u2022 Curbing removal for shop parking near the north side of Bockman – DONE \u2022 Fire door transfer on second floor – DONE \u2022 Assessing how best to dispose of unwanted furniture\/items (stay tuned\u2026.)\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We\u2019ve attached a \u2018move\u2019 calendar, Jan & Feb, as it currently stands. We have several other moves yet to be applied to the calendar. If you have questions about any\/all of this information please contact Ellen Elhard eelhard001@luthersem.edu<\/a> or Heidi Albers halbers001@luthersem.edu<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n Things to remember\u2026\u2026as we move forward. <\/p>\n\n\n\n \u2022 Packing boxes \/ Packing labels will be delivered to your department two weeks before your scheduled move date. \u2022 Tape colors – blue throw; green keep\/save. Ask for more if needed! \u2022 Label your phone \u2022 Green tape your waste and recycling baskets \u2022 Green tape your chair mat \u2022 Review your assigned space for size and what will fit. \u2022 Desks or tables. Label your chair. Chair mat? Label that too. \u2022 What files do you need daily? What can be in a central storage area on-site? What can be shredded or scanned? What can go into off-campus storage? \u2022 Tech equipment is being moved by the IT department: green label Computer\/Laptop, monitor(s), scanner, special-printer, phone, etc. \u2022 Access is available to community refrigeration for medicines, Mother\u2019s Room, etc. \u2022 Kitchen \/ lunch set ups \u2013 community coffee stations with air pots will be available in BH & GXH. \u2022 Water bottle fillers are stationed on most floors of BH & GXH. \u2022 BH116 is booked for classes in January 2020 – then it will be converted to a community room. \u2022 Keys for individual office doors will be available when you move.
